I am so excited to share this gorgeous wedding!!! Allison (my baby cousin) and I have made some good memories together over the years. We have gone camping, had our fair share of dance parties during our family Christmas parties, and we have laughed…a lot! In fact, one of my favorite things about Alli is her contagious laugh…and it hasn’t changed a bit since she was little. I could not be more proud of the woman she has become. She is confident in who she is and how she lives her life, and I love that.
John and Alli met in college through mutual acquaintances, and Alli made John wait 3 years before she gave her heart to him. I remember seeing/hearing about their engagement story and shortly after received a call about doing their wedding photography! I was so honored to be able to photograph their wedding!
Alli is a wedding/event planner at 59 West, and John is a high school teacher. Both of them have great passions for their chosen occupations. I met John a few years back and instantly loved them together. Our son Owen thinks John is sooo cool! They both have very similar interests in super hero’s, and John has taken time to get into his world. Owen had a very small part in their wedding day, and they bought him superhero converse that he wears everyday to school!
Their wedding could not have been more perfect. They included little things throughout the day that described them and their relationship, including: John’s superhero cufflinks and socks, and Alli wearing her Grandmothers dress! Her dad even dyed her veil to match the vintage look of her dress! I shed a tear or two during her first looks with both her dad and brother.
Their reception was filled with so much love and emotion. They had a peanut butter and jelly doughnut cake and doughnuts for their guests (which were delicious)! Their reception, getting ready photos, and all of their wedding portraits were taken at Waldenwoods Banquet Center. Alli had her flowers and reception centerpieces done by Stephanie at Rowden Flowers.
