|Landi & Jake| Bella Maria's Event Center

I was so excited for this past Saturday’s wedding to be able to spend the day with Landi & Jake. Landi is so hilarious. I am quite gullible (so some of her sarcasm goes right over my head), but that almost made it more comical. Landi & Jake have been together since they were 14 and 15, and 11 years later they tied the knot. They have both worked their way through nursing school and medical school while planning their wedding!

They had both mentioned they weren’t good at photos, but SERIOUSLY have you seen them in the images below?!?!?! Well you can’t say that anymore you guys!!

My Favorite part of their wedding was hearing Landi’s sister and Jacobs brother’s speeches. There were lots of laughs and even some tears. I learned much more about them during those speeches! Landi & Jake have made an impact on a lot of lives, and it was evident on their wedding day. SO MUCH LOVE & SUPPORT was there for them! Landi’s dad also wrote a speech for them and can we just say…tears….

I hope you enjoy these images from their gorgeous wedding day!!

|Justin & Keeley| Spring Wedding, Coopersville, MI

WHERE DO I BEGIN with these two!?!? Saturday was filled with so much love, thoughtfulness, and the best kind of gifts! We started the day with Ziva & Chester (their doggies) getting ready with floral colors and tux tops. They were actually a part of the bridal party and stood (well Chester laid) with the bridal party up front. It was cracking me up; every time I walked past ziva she would stair me down, ha ha! I may have snuck a few pets in as I passed by her!

Keeley & her daddy’s first look was so touching to watch! Galen (Keeley’s daddy) sang to Justin and her as he walked his littler girl down the aisle. There were a lot of sniffles going on. At first I didn’t realize who was singing. I was trying to look around the room without drawing attention and finally realized it was her daddy!

Keeley & Justin wrote their own vows (I just love it when couples do this)! They both referenced Keeley’s love for rescuing animals and made certain promises pertaining to that as well.

During the reception, one of their good friends (that was unable to attend) was streamed via a special video to congratulate them! One of my favorite parts was the shoe game (not traditionally a photographers favorite part of the day ha ha!). Keeley had planned out an epic surprise for Justin! He had always wanted a golden retriever, and Keeley delivered. The last two questions of the shoe game were…. “who is better at keeping secrets” they both raised Keeley’s shoe, and the final question was “who is getting the puppy they have always wanted”. Justin looked so confused at first. He said he thought Keeley had gotten herself another dog as a wedding gift…well boy was he wrong. Keeley greeted him with the most adorable golden girl! I added a few images of that whole experience below! They are so precious!

Keeley & Justin - thank you so much for having me document your day! We enjoyed getting to know your friends, family & incredible bridal party; everyone was so helpful and kind! Have the best time in Gatlinburg <3

|Lewis Orchard Weddings| Styled shoot with Lindsey & Nick

I cannot say enough good about this entire shoot. First of all Lindsey and Nick are two of my favorite people! They make me laugh every time I am around them! They have the best relationship: goofy, fun, yet their chemistry is undeniable. They are both laid back and up for anything! Lindsey did almost land on her face when she tripped over a branch! I got the best photo of her reaction afterwards (I will note it below), and Nick has the best Zoolander impression ever…just saying.

I have worked with All Occasions here in Ludington a few times before this and absolutely love their style and vision for florals. I looked on Pinterest and described that I was envisioning neutrals with eucalyptus (super vague) and they slammed it out to the park. It was exactly what I was looking for! I am kind of obsessed with the garden style of bouquet!!! They were so kind to donate their time and talents for this shoot!

Last, but certainly not least: Lewis Orchard Weddings (MY FAVORITE VENUE). I have been in business for about 7 years, and they are my favorite venue and people to work with when it comes to weddings. They opened up the bridal suite for Lindsey and Nick to get ready in and allowed us to use their gorgeous property. If you are hoping for a shabby chic look for your wedding, then this is the place for you! Who wouldn’t want to get married IN THE MIDDLE OF AN APPLE ORCHARD?!?!? They have a field, peach trees, cherry trees, apple trees, pumpkin patch, barns, and much more.

THANK YOU ALL for your help with this styled shoot. It was a blast, and I hope you all enjoy this preview of it!

|AMY & TYLER| ANNIVERSARY SESSION GREENVILLE, SC

I admire these two so much! They have such a deep connection with each other and it is so evident to those around them! I love how supportive and sweet on each other they are. It is inspiring and made Tony and I want to work on this more in our own marriage. With three kiddos you sometimes forget to be sweet and tender to each other.

This year they will be married for four years; I can’t believe how quickly the has gone. It seems like yesterday Tyler was getting choked up during their first dance as husband and wife.

Amy and Tyler love downtown Greenville, so it was the perfect place to do this session. We took some photos on the Liberty Bridge. They had their first date here and Tyler also proposed at this location. It was so special to do some photos here.

Ana & Wes | Destination Wedding | Ocean Springs, Mississippi | November 2018

This was our first (of hopefully many) destination weddings!  It was in Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and it was 70 degrees. These West Michiganders were in heaven!  I was about 32 weeks pregnant, and this warm weather was a nice change of pace as we were waiting out this little baby!

Ana and Wes are fantastic human beings.  Ana serves in our military, and we could not be more thankful for all of our military personnel’s sacrifices.  Wes is so hysterical.  Literally, Tony and I have never laughed more with a couple.  My very pregnant stomach muscles were feeling it by the end of their wedding day from all of the shenanigans that went on.

Their wedding day was absolute perfection.  The Ceremony venue was picture perfect from a photography standpoint.  It was light and bright, lots of windows, and light walls.  Ana’s dress was perfect for her.  Not a lot of my brides are big fans of sleeves, but…Ana’s had gorgeous lace sleeves, and I couldn’t have loved it more.  She also had an amazing cathedral veil which added so much to their portraits! She chose white florals for bouquets and red dresses for the bridesmaids, which added a nice pop to their photos.

The SPANISH MOSS was so amazing to photograph in.  Michigan does not have this, and it was so awesome to be able to branch out with the different greenery in this part of the US.

Enjoy this extended preview of their wedding day!

Alli & John Winter wedding 12-1-18 Waldenwoods

I am so excited to share this gorgeous wedding!!! Allison (my baby cousin) and I have made some good memories together over the years. We have gone camping, had our fair share of dance parties during our family Christmas parties, and we have laughed…a lot! In fact, one of my favorite things about Alli is her contagious laugh…and it hasn’t changed a bit since she was little. I could not be more proud of the woman she has become. She is confident in who she is and how she lives her life, and I love that.

John and Alli met in college through mutual acquaintances, and Alli made John wait 3 years before she gave her heart to him. I remember seeing/hearing about their engagement story and shortly after received a call about doing their wedding photography! I was so honored to be able to photograph their wedding!

Alli is a wedding/event planner at 59 West, and John is a high school teacher. Both of them have great passions for their chosen occupations. I met John a few years back and instantly loved them together. Our son Owen thinks John is sooo cool! They both have very similar interests in super hero’s, and John has taken time to get into his world. Owen had a very small part in their wedding day, and they bought him superhero converse that he wears everyday to school!

Their wedding could not have been more perfect. They included little things throughout the day that described them and their relationship, including: John’s superhero cufflinks and socks, and Alli wearing her Grandmothers dress! Her dad even dyed her veil to match the vintage look of her dress! I shed a tear or two during her first looks with both her dad and brother.

Their reception was filled with so much love and emotion. They had a peanut butter and jelly doughnut cake and doughnuts for their guests (which were delicious)! Their reception, getting ready photos, and all of their wedding portraits were taken at Waldenwoods Banquet Center. Alli had her flowers and reception centerpieces done by Stephanie at Rowden Flowers.
