Our little Grayson was born January 3, 2019. He is the sweetest little baby and LOVES TO BE HELD! Tony and I may or may not cater to that. Tony and I weren’t sure about a third baby. After much prayer we both had that desire in our hearts. Some of you know our story as far as kids go! We don’t accidentally get pregnant EVER! I knew my last wedding was Dec 1, 2018 and figured it would take several months… well God blessed very quickly (sooo thankful) and our due date was January 5, 2019.
Owen and Tony really wanted a boy; I didn’t care either way. We were planning on waiting until he was born to find out the gender, but had a small scare when I was about 16 weeks and decided to pray for our little baby by name specifically. We found out we were having a boy and, picked up some super hero onesies and surprised my parents and Owen with them! Owen was so excited to share a room with his little brother (at least he will be until he can walk!)
The rest of the pregnancy went smooth! I was super ready to have this baby at about 37 weeks. I expected this little man was going to come earlier than he did from my track record with Owen & Leighton. He didn’t ha ha. I asked my doctor about being induced and was on the schedule for an elective induction at about 39 weeks. Well she was incredibly busy with other mommas in labor. I had my 40 week appointment on a Thursday and we set a plan in motion of medically “needing” to be induced in a week and hoping to get on the schedule in the next couple of days… well I was at a 6 and having regular contractions (thought they were Braxton hicks). I cried tears of joy and relief! My Doctor had been at the hospital delivering babies for about 3 days and she stayed another 7 hours to deliver our little Grayson! So thankful for her!
I was admitted at about noon January 3 and he was born at about 7pm that night! He is perfect and we are so blessed and thankful for his precious little life!
